Uzbekistan lies in the centre of Central Asia, between the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers. It is one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world. Most of the land is desert and steppe, with the fertile Fergana Valley in the east and the shrinking Aral Sea in the far north-west.
Tashkent is about 4 hours from Istanbul and 5 hours from Frankfurt. Check the distance from your city with our distance calculator.
