Andorra is in south-western Europe, high in the eastern Pyrenees mountains. It borders France to the north and east and Spain (Catalonia) to the south and west. The whole country is mountainous, with an average altitude of almost 2,000 m.
There is no airport, so most visitors fly to Barcelona (about 3 hours by bus or car), Toulouse (about 3 hours) or Girona, and take a direct airport bus.
